Puawai - Realising Potential
Realising potential is our motto and what we stand for. All children have potential; we aim not only to help them discover it but to help them fulfil it. And we want, you, the parent, on that journey with us. Learning to swim is a life saving skill, but it should be fun and challenging. At Canterbury Swim School we’re not just here to teach swimming, we’re about developing the whole child by instilling a sense of confidence, self belief, and self esteem through encouragement and a fun learning environment.
At Canterbury Swim School we’re confident our programmes will:
- address the current high rate of drownings
- improve on the current statistic of 25% of children able to swim 200 metres
- offer youth a healthy and meaningful competitive sporting choice
- promote wellness and well-being for all
Waitaha Swim Club is based at our Waitaha Aquatic Centre and caters for emergent competitive swimmers through to nationally competitive squads. Waitaha Swim Club offers a clear pathway from learn to swim through to the various squad levels, meaning our complex is well and truly a one-stop shop for all swimming levels. Contact us if you're interested in becoming a club member.
We stock an extensive range of Speedo and Zoggs caps, goggles, swimwear and other training equipment at very competitive prices. Come and see us for all your swimming requirements.
